鈥 13 months practical training period, plus 3 months for End Point Assessment
Delivery model:
鈥 Work-based training with your employer
鈥 Day release during term time (approx. 26 days per year at Abingdon or Witney)
鈥 Level 1 Functional Skills in Maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required)
鈥 Off the job training will count for at least 6 hours a week of an apprentice鈥檚 time at work
Qualifications included:
鈥 Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Maths
鈥 AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting
鈥 Level 2 Accountants or Finance Assistant Apprenticeship

鈥 Structured Interview
鈥 Awareness of elements of commercial law such as contracts, data protection or Anti Money Laundering
鈥 The importance of upholding relevant codes of conduct
鈥 Awareness of the impact of technology on business and its accounting and finance functions.
鈥 Understanding of own role within the context of your organisation
鈥 Understanding of transactional processes of accounting and their use within a finance function
鈥 Understanding of what makes a business or organisation successful, through either buying or selling products or supplying services to a market
鈥 Understanding of how accounting systems and processes allows a business to keep track of all types of financial transactions
鈥 Knowledge of a range of routine accounts reports, reports and their use within the finance function
鈥 Understanding of the basics of internal control within own organisation
鈥 Awareness of basic accountancy concepts and double entry bookkeeping

鈥 Able to examine data to identify issues and reconcile data to minimise the chance of errors

鈥 Can avoid jargon and uses the correct technical terms where appropriate
