This course is designed for those who already work, or wish to work, as teachers/trainers in the lifelong learning sector (post 16 education).

This is an industry standard award for anyone involved in training in the post -16 sectors, providing the first steps towards gaining a recognised teacher training qualification. It is an introductory qualification for those who are about to embark on any form of teaching or training and who need to gain a basic toolkit of teaching and learning strategies. Entry is subject to an interview.
Course units
The course involves the study of the key concepts of teaching and training, including understanding the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training; understanding and using inclusive teaching and learning approaches in education and training; and, understanding assessment in education and training.
What next?
Students can progress onto the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training.
