Everyday AI is designed to help learners understand how artificial intelligence is shaping daily life and how to use it safely and effectively. From spotting online scams to exploring creative and educational applications, this course offers practical insights into AI tools like ChatGPT and DeepSeek, while also looking ahead to what the future may bring.
Who is this course for?

Any unpaid carer who is looking after someone with a long-term illness, special need or impairment is invited to join this online course.

This course begins with an Introduction and Online Safety module, providing essential tips on recognising scams, phishing attempts, and misleading content, ensuring learners can navigate the digital world with confidence. We then explore Helpful AI Applications, highlighting tools that support productivity, learning, creativity, and everyday problem-solving.

A dedicated ChatGPT and DeepSeek session dives into how these tools work, what they can and cannot do, and how to use them responsibly. Learners will see practical demonstrations of generating ideas, solving tasks, and exploring educational opportunities, while also understanding their limits.

Finally, we consider The Present and Future of AI, offering an accessible look at where AI stands today and where it may go next. Learners will leave with both practical skills and a broad understanding of how AI fits into modern life.

The four sessions are held online using Teams.
