Jack Watts took the honours this month, winning the Best of Bicester Award for his outstanding performance since he began his Plumbing & Gas Level 3 qualification last September at our Bicester Construction Skills Centre.

He was nominated by no less than four tutors for his professional, helpful and mature attitude and his contribution to classwork over the last year.

“It’s been a great experience as I’m older than most people here” he said, after receiving the Award “I have found out a lot about myself. Second chances weren’t available when I was younger and being able to take this qualification has helped me loads.”

The award – a bag of equipment donated by Grant & Stone including a saw, Stanley knife, tape measure and pipe cutter - was presented by tutor, John Lambert, who said that Jack’s work ethic went ‘over and above the norm’.
