Events and Tourism students recently visited the World Travel Market (WTM) London, a leading global event for the travel industry.

Through its industry networks and unrivalled global reach, students were able to take full advantage of the personal and business networking opportunities with the industry big hitters exhibiting at this year’s WTM.

Staged annually in ExCeL London, WTM London is a vibrant three-day business-to-business event presenting a diverse range of destinations and industry sectors to UK and International travel professionals. Students were exposed to all sectors of the travel industry including tourist boards, airlines, cruises, hotels, luxury, responsible tourism and travel technologies.

Students spent the day networking with industry professionals, keeping up with insights, challenges, trends and innovations in the travel and tourism industry.

One student said: “The trip was amazing. It showcased the unique tourism different countries offer; we were able to try food and drink from different countries, to really get a taste of what they offer. It was a vibrant and interactive trip, putting what we’ve been learning into context.”
